That must have been an important package.
A video shared by ABC 33/40’s James Spann is receiving wide-spread attention as it shows a UPS employee delivering a package just minutes after a tornado struck Madison on Tuesday.
In the video, captured by Hannah Ruggles, a home can be seen and is visibly damaged due to the tornado’s impact.
One of the individuals can be heard asking the delivery man if he, “stops delivering even in tornado weather.”
The UPS worker responds but it is hard to discern what he says.
During the video, Ruggles can be heard laughing incredulously at what she is seeing as tornado sirens ring in the background.
According to the UPS website, “severe weather, natural disasters, and other conditions beyond our control can occasionally delay or disrupt our UPS services.”
The video has garnered over 450,000 views and accumulated hundreds of comments. Many people left comments in support of the worker by saying UPS should give him a raise and others took the chance to crack jokes.
One commenter stated that, “FedEx would have thrown [the package] in the tornado.”
Another comment said, “can’t lie and say you ain’t get it.”
A message was left with UPS seeking comment regarding the video.
