SILO CITY READING SERIES Summer 2025

Just Buffalo Literary Center is announcing the thirteenth season of the Silo City
Reading Series, a multi-genre celebration of poetry, music, art, and community held
in Marine A, a 120-foot-high, 100-year-old grain silo at the edge of the Buffalo River.
Ticketsfor the series are offered for $15-$25 with a limited number of season tickets
for $70, available at justbuffalo.org.

The three-event season begins June 28 with an event headlined by poet, translator,
and educator Graham Foust, author of Terminations (Flood Editions, 2023) and
London-based poet Amy De’Ath, New York City singer-songwriter Allegra Krieger,
and Buffalo artist Chuck Tingley.

On July 26, poet Kenzie Allen, author of Cloud Missives (Tin House, 2024) longlisted
for the National Book Critics Circle, will be joined by Kenyon College professor and
poet Andrew Grace, ambient Americana act happygroupppp, and visual artist &
experimental filmmaker Crystal Z. Campbell.

The series concludes on August 30 with award-winning poets Donika Kelly and
2025 Just Buffalo Poetry Fellow, Nabila Lovelace, a musical performance by pillow
core indie rocker Charlie Martin (Hovvdy), and interdisciplinary artist Nicole
Chochrek.

“The Silo City Reading Series is the greatest curated interdisciplinary arts series with
poetry at its center that this city has ever produced. Every year I think, well, Just
Buffalo can’t possibly top last year’s vibes at Silo City but then of course, they do,”
states R.D. Pohl, literary critic, editor, and journalist.

Silo City Reading Series events take place in the Marine A grain elevator, behind
Duende at Silo City, 85 Silo City Row. Doors open at 7:00pm and the events begin at
7:30pm. Capacity islimited and advance tickets are required. Books by featured poets
in the series will be available for purchase on-site by Buffalo independent bookseller
Fitz Books.
