Metal water bottles and take-out food are being banned at three Middlesex County high schools, as officials add metal detectors to the buildings.
Woodbridge Township School District acted quickly to get metal detectors installed this week in its high schools after a student was found with a loaded gun last month.
According to Superintendent Joseph Massimino, prior to the incident, the district had been in communication with parents and the local police department about implementing metal detectors.
