Pelle Nogueira from Glen Ridge and Kerry Dyke from Perth Amboy emerged as the winners of the 2025 Essex County Cherry Blossom 10K Run held in Newark’s Branch Brook Park on Sunday, April 6.
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. congratulated the victorious runners at the event, which saw a record turnout of 1,700 participants.
Nogueira claimed the top spot in the men’s category and overall for the second year in a row, clocking a time of 32:38.06.
Dyke led the women’s field, finishing with a time of 36:04.48. The runners were joined by Deputy Parks Director Kate Hartwyk during the congratulatory moment.
