I see in the Star-Advertiser that our politicians are seriously considering a bill that would put the question of legalizing recreational marijuana to the people (“Legalizing cannabis could be on state ballot,” Jan. 12). My thoughts on this is it’s a done deal.
Now what could be wrong? First, drivers are already constantly writing or reading texts while driving. If legal marijuana exacerbates this problem, they won’t be paying attention to the road, other drivers or traffic lights at all. What I see are more driving accidents and maybe more deaths.
What else could go wrong with brilliant thinking like that?
