Federal immigration agents arrested a Guyanese man with a first-degree murder conviction, according to a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday afternoon.
The statement said agents from ICE’s Baltimore field office arrested Christopher Adolph Franklin, originally from Guyana, who was previously convicted of first-degree murder and felony use of a handgun.
No cases corresponding to Franklin appear in the Maryland Judiciary database, and an ICE spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment about when or where he was convicted.
According to ICE, Franklin will remain in the agency’s custody pending his removal from the U.S.
