Huge oceanfront Lido Asbury Park condo complex with 112-units begins construction

Construction began last week on Lido Asbury Park, a lavish eight-story condominium project with 112 units next to the Wonder Bar

The project at at 1201 Ocean Ave. in Asbury Park is already seeing strong demand after launching sales in July, according to the developers.

Units are priced from $825,000 to more than $8 million and may have already set a record for the highest-priced condo ever sold in New Jersey with a penthouse unit under contract at $7.6 million.

Developer Inspired by Somerset Development broke ground last week and the project is expected to be completed by 2027.

The development will feature one- to four-bedroom condos ranging from 970 to more than 3,800 square feet.

Many units will include private outdoor space and Atlantic Ocean views.

Residents will have access to 50,000 square feet of resort-style amenities.

Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners designed the project, while Melillo Bauer Carman provided landscape design, according to a statement.

According to the developer, condos will have floor-to-ceiling windows that frame panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Asbury Park landmarks and the bustling boardwalk.

Select units will have oversized terraces, private plunge pools, and enhanced finishes.

Plans also call for a year-round indoor-outdoor saltwater spa pool with hot and cold plunge pools, a Turkish hammam and Vichy shower, a treatment room and both an indoor and outdoor sauna.

The project also calls for an oceanfront fitness center with modern cardio and strength-training equipment and a dedicated studio for yoga, personal training or quiet meditation.
