Damien Robinson had 27 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Eagles in “The Way” Hoopfest at Woodside. Also for Landstown, Rashad Shaw had 11 points and five assists, and Josiah Law added eight points, seven rebounds and three assists. For the Warriors, Taron Atwater scored 20 and Jeremiah Broome 14 points.
#4 Lake Taylor 62, John Marshall 33
Jamari Edwards had 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Titans. Jacarri Jones had 14 points and eight rebounds, Jr Evans had nine points and five assists, Jayden Yancey and Ezra Bryant scored nine each and Marc Johnson had seven points. They handled a Justices team from Richmond that is retooling after coach Ty White went to Petersburg High.
#5 Hampton 77, Manor 43
Joshua Rice’s 21 points led the Crabbers, while Jaidon Johnson scored 16 for the Mustangs. Also for Hampton, Jawaun Tucker and Gavin Kay scored 13 apiece.
#7 Catholic 77, North Cross 50
Dean Williams’ 20 points and Tabren Hawkins’ 12 points and four assists led the Crusaders past the Raiders from Roanoke. Carter Bullock had 11 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Samuels had eight points. Antonio Mack paced North Cross with 16 points.

NaMarqus Byrd had 23 points, six rebounds and three steals for the Cavaliers in “The Way” Hoopfest at Woodside. Nico Mclntyre had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Eziah Goodson scored 15 points and added five rebounds and seven assists.

Tabb 53, Poquoson 51
Micah Marbra had six rebounds and 22 points for the Tigers. All 22 came in the second half, which the Islanders began with a 30-20 lead. Also for Tabb, James Mueller had 15 points, six rebounds and four steals, and Matthew Adams contributed seven points. Dan Sperling scored 19, Eli Green nine and Seth Green seven for Poquoson.

Trey Barnhart led the Knights with 23 points, nine rebounds and five steals in “The Way” Hoopfest in Woodside’s gym. MJ Fitch had 17 points and six steals. Cooper Lindsey chipped in 13 points, five rebounds and three assists. For the Commodores, Kymani Johnson scored 22 and Kyree Demiel 14.
Veritas Collegiate Academy 73, Lunenburg Central 32
Tailon Wray led the Spartans with 16 points, while Joseph Haliarces had 12, Falcon Green 11 and Kevin Boguares 10.

The Seahawks won a game at the Seahawk Classic in Hilton Head, South Carolina, behind Justin Jones’ 21 points and seven assists and Noah Eddy’s 18 points and 10 rebounds. Christien Mason scored 17 points and Zion Denson 12 for Atlantic Shores, while Kylan Speid led the Bears from Orlando with 26 points. Atlantic Shores will meet another Florida team, Jordan Christian, in a semifinal at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Graham Hutchens’ 22 points propelled the Navigators. Mekhi Ward scored 14 and Luke Bryant 11. Ajian Skeete scored 15 for the Ambassadors.

Justice Brown-Jones and Lauryn Loritts led the visiting Crusaders with 14 points as they beat the Cougars of Richmond. Caroline Casady, Riley Lynch and Siniyah Ross scored 12 points, while Sydney Youngblood had 10.

Game MVP TaNya Henson had 17 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks and Maddie Leach had 13 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists for the Monarchs at the Manor Christmas Classic. Nevaeh Reid had 13 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and four assists. Also for Menchville, JaiDen Rhodes had 16 points and five rebounds and Jordein Holder had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Morgan Herbert’s 19 points and Cherish Brehon’s 13 led the Hornets at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Zuriel Pendleton-Morant received Player of the Game honors with 21 points and five steals at the Manor Christmas Invitational. Khloe Lenard added 10 points. The Cavaliers got 12 points from Janae Carter.

Olivia Jones’ 24 points propelled the Bruins past the Tigers. Genesis Moore had 10 points and Aubree Bowman added eight.

In a field of 25, Poquoson (281 points), Nansemond River (220 1/2) and Ocean Lakes (186 1/2) were the top three teams. They’re ranked #4, #8 and #12 respectively, in the 757Teamz Top 15. Ocean Lakes was led by 144-pounder Noah Xiong and eight other top-six place-winners.
