Paul VI co-op downs St. Joseph (Met.) behind early scoring – Boys ice hockey recap

Paul VI-Camden Catholic defeated St. Joseph (Met.) 4-2 behind 39 saves from Luciano Lisanti between the pipes at Virtua-Flyers SkateZone in Voorhees.

Connor Emmich scored on the man advantage to give St. Joseph a 1-0 lead early in the first period. Paul VI quickly answered with two goals from Jason Bloor on the power play and Riley O’Lano to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.

Paul VI padded its lead in the second period with goals from Nicholas Lento and Stephen Tursi. St. Joseph answered with a goal from Salvatore Tuorto.

Bloor and Nick Aversa each recorded two assists for Paul VI.

Paul VI (2-0) will visit Lawrence on Monday at 4:00 p.m., while St. Joseph (0-1) travels to Pope John on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
