As fall weather finally makes its appearance, the warm nights are coming to an end, and so is the annual Rooftop Cinema series.
Held atop the building at 100 Center St., the final screening of the season is set for Monday, Oct. 20, with 2025’s “Jurassic Park: Rebirth” coming to the big screen. (The event had originally been set to screen “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.”)
The showing is free and will begin at dusk. All you have to do is head downtown and upstairs to watch the dino magic take place surrounded by the city skyline, just as nature intended.
Filmgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to spread out under the stars, plus popcorn and beer from Stone’s Throw Brewing will be available for purchase.
The series finale is also hosted in tandem with Pedal Party, a local bike-riding meetup inviting the public to a pre-movie ride. Look for details to be announced here.
Hosted by the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, Rooftop Cinema is the latest evolution of Movies in the Park. It debuted in fall 2023 and has since become a hit summertime series. No word yet on if it will return next summer, but we’ve got our T-rex fingers crossed.
And if you need more movie magic, DLRP is hosting one more screening on Oct. 26 as part of The Root Cafe’s trunk-or-treat event, where you can catch “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.”
