Bomb threat at Colorado airport leads to one arrest

A Denver man was arrested Wednesday in southern Colorado after threatening online to detonate a bomb at San Luis Valley Regional Airport, city officials said.

FBI officials notified the city of Alamosa, where the airport is located, of the social media bomb threat at about noon Wednesday, according to a statement from the city.

Alamosa police evacuated the airport and arrested the suspect, an 18-year-old Denver man, in the building’s lobby, city officials said. The man had not yet entered the airport’s secured area.

Police searched the airport, but no explosives or suspicious devices were found.
