A sea of purple is coming to Argenta as the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place on Saturday, Nov. 8, with the option to join virtually.
Open to all ages, participants are invited to don their purple attire and stroll two miles through North Little Rock to help raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to provide care and support to more than 58,000 Arkansans living with Alzheimer’s and 154,000 caregivers.
The Promise Garden opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m. in Argenta Plaza with participants carrying flowers signifying how they have been affected by Alzheimer’s and their promise to remember and fight for those living with the disease.
There is no registration fee for the walk, but all participants are encouraged to fundraise for and donate to the Alzheimer’s Association in the process.
“We hope that everyone in our community can join us by starting a team to help the Alzheimer’s Association raise awareness and funds for families facing the disease today, take more steps toward treatments and finally ending this disease,” event manager Ian Shuttleworth said in 2024.
