The winner of “Big Brother 27″ has been crowned.
After Morgan Pope and Ashley Hollis won round one and round two of the final Head of Household competition, respectively, they faced off in part three during the live Sunday, Sept. 28, finale.
Ashley won, giving her the power to choose who to take with her to the final two. Knowing that she had a better chance of winning against Vince Panaro, Ashley cast the final vote of the season to evict Morgan.
Ashley and Vince then faced the jury, speaking to their very different styles of gameplay. With four Head of Household wins on his resume, Vince played a flashier game. He also burned a lot of people and told “unnecessary” lies, as juror Ava Pearl put it. Juror Kelley Jorgensen noted that Vince was either “lying or crying” at all times.
By contrast, Ashley played under the radar. Prior to winning the final HoH comp, she had only one Veto win on her resume, meaning she had almost no blood on her hands. However, as she told the jurors, she turned “enemies into allies” while Vince turned “allies into enemies.”
“It’s not just about winning competitions; it’s about being safe when you don’t win competitions,” Ashley told the season 27 jury.
During his final speech, Vince focused on his competition wins and the amount of power he wielded in the game.

“I made 14 nominations this season. … Over half of the cast was put on the block by me alone. That means I had to make my game revolve around damage control and being on as good terms with as many people as I possibly could,” he said. “I ended up on the block three times, but I found three different ways to get off the block. … From day one to day 83, I ate, slept, [and] breathed ‘Big Brother.’”
Ashley ultimately won “Big Brother 27″ by a vote of 6-1. Kelley, Ava, Keanu Soto, Lauren Domingue, Will Williams, and Rachel Reilly voted for Ashley, while Morgan voted for Vince.
Keanu won the America’s Favorite Houseguest award and the $50,000 prize that comes with it.
The winner wasn’t the only reveal of the finale; the mystery of the Mastermind was also solved. It turns out there were three “Big Brother” alums behind this season’s mayhem: Eric Stein (“Big Brother 8″), Jessie Godderz (“Big Brother 10″ and “Big Brother 11″), and Frankie Grande (“Big Brother 16″). Their motive? All three alums’ games were impacted by a twist.
“If you can’t beat a twist, become one,” they said.
There was also an update on Katherine Woodman and Rylie Jeffries’ showmance during the finale.
“It stands at a really good place. We are together and having fun, just hanging out. [I] just visited him and it was great,” Katherine told “Big Brother” host Julie Chen Moonves.
Rylie called Katherine “the most beautiful, kindhearted, sweetest heart in the whole entire world” and said “it’s been nothing but a blessing and an honor” to get to know her.
“Big Brother” is available to stream on Paramount+.
