Camp Aldersgate‘s annual fish fry is set for Sunday, Oct. 12, and we’re more than ready to get our hands on a plate.
Now in its 42nd year, this family-friendly fundraiser is a crowd favorite and brings the fun for all ages. In classic fish fry fashion, each ticket includes a fried fish meal box with all the fixin’s, and as is now tradition, this year will again offer a kids’ fishing derby, carousel rides and more activities to help attendees explore the grounds.
Each year, proceeds from the event go toward the camp’s programs for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. The 2024 event raised a record-breaking $110,000.
“Last year was such an incredible success, and we are looking forward to building on that momentum,” says Ashley Parker, who is chairing the event for the second consecutive year with her husband Jason. “This event not only brings our community together, but also makes a lasting impact for Camp Aldersgate and the children and families it serves.”
The feast takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. You can order yours ahead of the event or purchase tickets at the gate. There will also be a drive-thru option in the nearby CHI St. Vincent parking lot on Kanis Road for supporters on the go.
