10 most expensive homes sold in Cape May County, Sept. 8-14

A house in Avalon that sold for $5.1 million tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Cape May County in the past week.

During the past week, a total of 40 residential real estate sales were registered in the county, with an average price of $1 million. The average price per square foot was $528.

The prices in the list below include real estate sales where the title was recorded during the week of Sept. 8 even if the property may have been sold earlier.

A 1,408-square-foot detached house at 2540 West Ave. in Ocean City, has been sold. The total purchase price was $1,325,000, $941 per square foot. The house was built in 1958. The deal was finalized on Aug. 15.
