Field hockey
North Harford 9, Edgewood 0: The visiting Hawks (3-3) shut out the Rams (1-4). North Harford was led by Lily Franz (3 goals, 1 assist), Alison Smithson (3 goals), Lola Minor (2 goals, 1 assist), Olivia Daly (1 goal), Liv Tucker (2 assists) and London Beall (1 assist).
John Carroll 1, Mercy 0: The host Patriots (3-3-2, 1-0-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) shut out the Magic (0-2, 0-2). John Carroll travels to South River on Monday. Mercy hosts Severn next Thursday.
Liberty 2, South Carroll 1: Maddie McNamara made 12 saves, but the host Cavaliers fell to the Lions. South Carroll got its lone goal in the third quarter when Kayla Janyska scored an assist from Alayna Enoff.
Girls soccer
South Carroll 3, Liberty 1: Gabby Evans made seven saves and the visiting Cavaliers (6-0) beat the Lions (3-1). South Carroll was led by Anna Santacroce with two goals and Kenley Kalbaugh with a goal and an assist. The Cavaliers got an assist apiece from Emily Giguere and Bree Hancock.
