Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found with a fatal gunshot wound Saturday morning in Baltimore’s Central Park Heights neighborhood.
Officers responded to the 3300 block of Spaulding Avenue to investigate the report of an unresponsive person, according to police.
Police from the northern district located an unidentified man inside of a building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The man was later pronounced dead by medics, according to the report.
On Friday, two men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after separate shootings, police said.

According to police data, Baltimore’s homicide and non-fatal shooting counts since Jan. 1, 2025, and Friday, Sept. 13, are 95 homicides and 227 non-fatal shootings. Both numbers are lower than that of the 2024 data, which showed 131 homicides and 283 non-fatal shootings since Jan. 1, 2024, and Sept. 12, 2024.
