Brown also raced the popular YouTube streamer.
Jaylen Brown is officially in his streamer era, and he’s teamed up with one of the most popular streamers for his most recent live stream.
The Celtics star and YouTube streamer IShowSpeed toured Boston together on Friday, sharing their several-hour quest around the city in a live stream.
Brown and IShowSpeed first met while IShowSpeed was touring a Boston Tea Party Ship. As Brown complimented IShowSpeed for his colonial-era fit when they were on the ship, the two began dumping buckets of tea into the water. Actually, Brown shot the buckets of tea like a basketball.
“We need this right now! The taxes is crazy,” Brown jokingly said. “We’ve gotta dump all the tea.”
Later, Brown and IShowSpeed did Muay Thai together.
As IShowSpeed continued his tour around Boston, he and Brown made their way to Downtown Crossing, where the Celtics player challenged the YouTube streamer to a race. Brown made a wager with IShowSpeed as well, telling him that he would have to change his name and take “Speed” out of it.
Fortunately for IShowSpeed, he appeared to narrowly defeat Brown. However, he said he pulled his hamstring during the race.
While IShowSpeed went to the ground in pain with several Bostonians surrounding him, Brown later contested the streamer’s victory in a social media post.
“Change your name bro @ishowspeedsui bro pulled his hamstring win is a win lmk if you need a therapist 🤦🏿♂️,” Brown wrote in a post on X.
Brown’s stream with IShowSpeed is one of the handful he’s done this offseason. He joined Kyrie Irving on his Twitch channel earlier in the summer and launched his own Twitch channel (FCHWPO) as he said he’ll be streaming more.
