Miss America’s Teen 2026: Meet the contestants, including Alabama’s Addison Shoemaker

A new winner of Miss America’s Teen — a national competition that’s part of the Miss America organization — will be crowned on Saturday in Florida.

Addison Shoemaker of Vestavia Hills, Miss Alabama’s Teen 2025, is one of 52 young women vying for the national title, which comes with $30,000 in scholarship money and a yearlong reign.

Several other scholarships awarded at the pageant will range from $1,000 to $9,000, according to organizers.

Events for Miss America’s Teen are planned this week in Orlando, along with receptions, interviews, rehearsals, a breakfast, a talent showcase, a gala dinner, preliminary competitions and more for the Miss America pageant. (Think of Miss America as a big sister to Miss America’s Teen, and you’ll have the general idea.)

Online voting is underway for an America’s Choice spot at the Miss America’s Teen competition on Saturday. Votes can be cast for donations of $1 or more. The contestant with the most votes gets a place in the top 11 at the finals event, according to the Miss America website.

The finals for Miss America’s Teen are set for 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando. The theater, 445 South Magnolia Ave., is part of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Peyton Bolling of Arkansas, Miss America’s Teen 2025, will crown her successor at the finale.

Tickets are available for the Miss America’s Teen finals via the Dr. Phillips Center website. If you’re not on scene in Orlando on Saturday, the Miss America’s Teen finals show will stream on PageantVision.com, as part of a a $199.99 streaming bundle that includes other events this week.

Shoemaker was crowned Miss Alabama’s Teen 2025 in March at Thompson High School in Alabaster. She competed as Miss Historic Springville’s Teen, besting 38 other contestants for the state title.

Shoemaker performed a lyrical dance routine during the competition for Miss Alabama’s Teen, to the song “Humble and Kind.” She attends attends Briarwood Christian School, and her philanthropic platform for Miss Alabama’s Teen is Cheering on Children’s. It’s an advocacy campaign serving child life programs at children’s hospitals and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Miss Alabama’s Teen was founded in 2003, and has crowned more than 20 winners to date. Two Alabama winners, Marcelle LeBlanc and Jessica Baeder, have moved on to become Miss America’s Teen, winning the national competition in 2022 and 2017, respectively.

A new Miss America will be crowned on Sunday, Sept. 7, also at the Walt Disney Theater. Emma Terry of Leeds, Miss Alabama 2025, is one of 52 women competing for the title of Miss America 2026. Voting for the America’s Choice contest for Miss America 2026 can be found here.

The Miss America finals will stream for free on Sunday at PageantVision.com and the Miss America YouTube channel, as well, starting at 6 p.m. CT.
