Easterseals Art & Soul Showcase Returns Sept. 25

As your calendar fills up with seasonal festivities, there’s one event you should pencil in: Easterseals Art & Soul.

Set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, the event showcases unique artworks, giving guests the opportunity to take home original pieces created by local artists and Easterseals clients through the A.R.T. (Artistic Realization Technologies) Program, which provides hands-on creative expression for children and adults with limited use of their arms and hands.

The evening promises the yearly auction and raffle guests have come to love, plus local food by Catering Arkansas featuring Problem Child and signature drinks to The Venue at Westwind in North Little Rock. MJ the DJ will be spinning live music all night long to keep the fun going.

“Art & Soul is a standout among Easterseals events, celebrating the incredible talent of our non-ambulatory clients through artwork created in our volunteer-led A.R.T. program,” says Kathryn Norton, Easterseals’ development manager. “It’s not just an auction, it’s an opportunity to take home a one-of-a-kind masterpiece while supporting a powerful mission.”

The 22nd annual event will highlight featured artist Charmelle Parker and the chance to purchase her pieces during the live auction, as well as works from local and regional artists. There will also be an online silent auction you can shop if you’re not able to attend.

Easterseals Arkansas is a nonprofit providing services to help Arkansans with disabilities live more independently. Proceeds from the event will go toward the A.R.T. Program and other Easterseals educational and therapy programs serving thousands of children and adults across the state.
