Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan is specifically asking for any videos of the incident taken on Broadway in Everett.
Admilson Vizcaino, of Malden, is facing nine charges after he allegedly hijacked the trash truck, including four counts of attempted armed carjacking and two counts of armed carjacking assault.
Vizcaino allegedly crashed his own vehicle on Broadway in Everett before, prosecutors say, he commandeered a trash truck there before crashing the truck on the Alford Street Bridge between Everett and Boston.
Police tased and shot Vizcaino during a pursuit, officials said, critically injuring him. He was arraigned remotely from a hospital bed Aug. 4 and pleaded not guilty to each charge; he was ordered held without bail pending a detention hearing.
Members of the public who have video of the hijacking can contact Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the DA’s office at 781-897-6600, Ryan’s office said.
