What time is Shark Week?

Caught! Sharks Strike Back” is headlining Thursday for the 2025 edition of Shark Week on Discovery Channel on July 24 at 9 p.m. You can watch live as it airs on Sling TV (half off first month) or Philo (free trial), or DIRECTV (free trial).

The Shark Week special event will feature a look at why 2025 has become the record-holder for the most shark encounters outright captured on camera. Specifically, it will take a look at events like the fisherman who was accidentally slapped in the face by a shark, or the kayaker who was stalked by a curious (and possibly hungry) great white shark for more than 10 minutes.

The other Shark Week specials that will air on the same night will be “Surviving Jaws” at 8 p.m., and “Frankenshark” at 10 p.m. If you sign up for Philo, the service’s 7-day free trial will cover the remainder of the entire event!
