At 10:44 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 11:30 p.m. for Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.
Residents should prepare for wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
“At 10:43 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Cherry Hill to near Brantwood to Warwick, moving east at 45 mph,” states the weather service. “Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.”
