The GT World Challenge will be a race to remember with its fast-as-lightening race cars and wild cheers from fans. But, the event will also make a lasting impression for those fighting ovarian cancer.
With September being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, the GT World Challenge will benefit Teal Wings of Hope, a Birmingham-based nonprofit organization focused on education, awareness and advocacy for individuals affected by ovarian cancer.
“We’re thrilled to welcome UAB Medicine as the presenting sponsor for GT World Alabama. Their support, alongside the impact of Teal Wings of Hope, brings an even deeper purpose to a weekend that already offers world-class racing and family-friendly entertainment.”
George Dennis, President, Zoom Motorsports
The UAB Medicine GT World Alabama weekend will feature some of the most iconic names in motorsports, including:

- Ferrari
- Lamborghini
- Mercedes-AMG
- Porsche
- McLaren
- And more!
In addition to fast cars, fans can expect a full weekend of family-friendly entertainment off the track with everything from interactive fan zones to autograph sessions.
Race during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

A fun meaningful event, Bob Barrett, Teal Wings of Hope Chairman Emeritus, summed up why this special racing weekend and partnership matters:
“Teal Wings of Hope was founded in memory of my wife, Babs, with the goal of improving ovarian cancer care so that future generations of women won’t have to endure what she did.
This partnership with UAB is incredibly meaningful. And with September being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, the timing couldn’t be more fitting. We’re truly excited and look forward to working with everyone involved.”
