Dye-to-Dine: A One-of-a-Kind Experience Blending Botanical Artistry and Farm-to-Table Feasting at Crown Hill Farm

Crown Hill Farm invites adventurers, artists, and food lovers alike to Eat the Sun: A Dye-to-Dine
Experience, an immersive two-part summer event weaving together botanical artistry and
seasonal cuisine in celebration of earth-made color, cloth, and craft.
This isn’t just a farm dinner. It’s a full-circle adventure where you’ll literally create the table you
dine at.

In Part 1, happening Sunday, July 20, participants will step into the Crown Hill Farm garden
with natural dye artist Tami Fuller of BluBird Studio to discover the rich connection between
plants, color, and table ritual. You’ll hand-dye your own artisan table setting using botanical
dyes—transforming simple cloth into a work of art that becomes your personal place setting at
the dinner.

Then, two weeks later on Sunday, August 3, your handcrafted setting returns to the table at an
open-air farm feast, prepared by celebrated Chef Jessica Arends of Cornelia@AKG. This
thoughtfully crafted meal features the same plants that inspired the dyes used through every
course—blurring the line between what nourishes your body and what delights your senses.

“This event invites you to slow down and savor the beauty of connection—between land, food,
art, and each other,” says Missy Singer DuMars, owner of Crown Hill Farm. “You’ll leave not
just with a beautiful keepsake, but with a story woven from soil to table.”
