Democrat Mikie Sherrill leads Republican Jack Ciattarelli by 20 percentage points in the first major general-election poll in New Jersey’s big governor’s race, more than four months to Election Day.

The Rutgers-Eagleton Poll, released Wednesday, found President Donald Trump looms heavily as voters pick a new governor to succeed term-limited Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy.
