The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $173 million, with a cash option of $75.7 million.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers after the drawing.
No one across the country hit Friday’s $154 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize tickets of at least $2 million sold.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 7, 18, 40, 55 and 68. The Mega Ball drawn was 18.
For a $5 ticket, the odds of winning the jackpot were previously 302 million to 1. However, on April 8, one Mega Ball was eliminated from the matrix, slightly improving the odds to 290,472,336 to 1.
The odds of winning at least $1 million by matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball are now 1 in 12,607,306, an improvement from the previous odds of 12,629,232 to 1.
The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize of at least $10,000 are 893,761 to 1, better than the previous 931,001 to 1.
Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $189 million with a cash option of $83.1 million.
