From Shakespearean masterpieces to laugh-out-loud comedies and modern favorites, this season offers something extraordinary for everyone. The 2025 lineup includes William Shakespeare’s dark and tragic Macbeth, the historical romance Antony and Cleopatra, and the pastoral comedy As You Like It in the outdoor Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre. In the beautiful indoor Randall L. Jones Theatre, don’t miss the witty and touching Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder by Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, and the Victorian satire The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. And in the intimate Anes Studio Theatre, enjoy the World War II love story Dear Jack, Dear Louise.

What we call the Festival Experience ensures that audiences’ participation goes beyond–and sometimes behind–the stage. An expansive array of seminars, orientations, Backstage Tours, Repertory Magic, Words Cubed new play readings, classes, camps, and more aim to enhance patrons’ understanding of Shakespeare and other playwrights’ works and the process of repertory theatre. And did you know the Festival even has professional and licensed childcare available for children up to age ten? So, you can bring everyone!
