Barnaby Group, the hospitality company behind George’s in The Heights, is bringing a new restaurant to the neighborhood, The Lady, promising a blend of “Southern heart and English charm.”
Set at the corner of Kavanaugh Boulevard and North Fillmore Street, The Lady will serve up “pub fare with a Southern accent” and will be modeled after traditional pubs, mirroring much of the area’s Tudor-style architecture. The menu will include both small plates and rich dishes like a classic roast, plus a brunch menu, two full bars and a “robust” wine list.
The two-story space will feature patios on both levels and a fireplace-lit dining room, all to encourage “comfort and connection” among guests. The Lady will be open six days a week and plans to launch in early 2027.
The announcement was made Saturday night at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts’ Tabriz Gala chaired by Mary Olive and John Stephens, founders of Barnaby Group. This follows last month’s news that the group had purchased Town Pump with plans to renovate the beloved dive “while keeping the atmosphere and spirit of the bar unchanged,” according to our sister publication Arkansas Business.
Also at Tabriz, they announced another concept in the works for Fayetteville, a “nature-based retreat” called South School that will focus on farm-to-table dishes and seasonal flavors. The South School grounds will include a working farm that will drive the menu, a brewery that will serve all Barnaby Group restaurants and cabins and event space for those looking to make their visit a fully immersive experience. It is set to open in spring 2026.
According to a press lease, each new project “[reflects] Barnaby Group’s commitment to creating thoughtful, locally-inspired spaces where community, design and hospitality intersect.”
