“Anora” star Mikey Madison hosted the March 29 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” with Morgan Wallen as musical guest.
“SNL” returned to the air for the latest episode in its 50th season on Saturday, March 29, with “Anora” star Mikey Madison serving as host and country star Morgan Wallen as musical guest.
This was Madison’s first time hosting “Saturday Night Live,” and besides her role on the FX comedy-drama “Better Things,” her first major TV gig. Beyond her Oscar-winning performance in “Anora,” you may have seen her on the big screen in the 2022 update to the “Scream” franchise or playing a member of the Manson family clan in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
Wallen, meanwhile, made his second appearance on the “SNL” stage. He was originally supposed to appear in October 2020, but was booted from the gig for violating COVID protocols. He did make his debut appearance a couple of months later, in an episode hosted by Jason Bateman.
The only celebrity cameo of note this week came from Joe Jonas, who announced last week that he is heading back on tour with the Jonas Brothers this summer (and coming to Fenway Park in August).
Check out the videos below to see highlights from the latest episode of “SNL,” including a cabinet department group chat gone wrong in the political cold open, Madison’s opening monologue, a “Please Don’t Destroy” sketch, and a pair of performances from Wallen.
Note: The sketch “Spring Break” is age-restricted, so you can only watch it directly on YouTube.
