Last week we reported the closing of longtime west Little Rock favorite Capers Restaurant, and it didn’t take long for a new beloved eatery to step into its Cantrell shoes.
The Croissanterie will make the very short move — less than a quarter of a mile from its current, smaller location — to Capers’ former space at 14502 Cantrell Road with plans to open this summer.
The restaurant is known not only for its croissants, but its popular brunch menu and pastry offerings, all of which have grown with The Croissanterie as it evolved from a food truck to its now two locations, including inside the Tech Park in downtown Little Rock.
According to social media posts by The Croissanterie, plans for the new space include more of its fan-favorite dishes, plus new menus, longer hours, intentions to take full advantage of Capers’ market space and “probably a few classes and a coffee lounge.”
“Flakey Friends… you have been asking for a while for us to find a ‘bigger place.’ We have searched and investigated and even been under contract on a couple of places that ended up not being the right spots,” the post reads. “We can now proudly and confidently say we have found a new home. While for some this may be bittersweet, for us it is exciting and exceptional! … Thank you so much for joining us on this ride! We could not do it without you, and we cannot wait to see you on the new deck at The Croissanterie!”
An opening date has yet to be announced. Follow The Croissanterie on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
