Dairy Queen is treating fans to free ice cream to kick off the start of spring.
On Thursday, March 20, customers can get a free small vanilla cone at participating Dairy Queen restaurants nationwide for Free Cone Day, according to the Minnesota-based burger chain.
No purchase is required, except at participating mall locations.
The annual event marks the first day of spring and has been dubbed the “best day of the year,” according to Dairy Queen’s website.
“There’s nothing sweeter than enjoying a tasty cone — on DQ — to kick off a season full of reasons to celebrate,” Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing at Dairy Queen, said in a news release.
Free cones are limited to one per person, while supplies last, the restaurant said.
