With severe weather in the forecast this Saturday, event organizers are making decisions throughout the Birmingham Metro area whether to move, postpone or cancel their games, parades and festivals.
We’ve compiled a list that will be updated periodically over the next two days. Of course, when in doubt, we encourage you to visit the group’s social media page.
Also – if you know of an event that has been cancelled or moved share it with us at hello@bhamnow.com! We’ll add it to the list.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade at Five Points & 14th Annual Holi Festival at Birmingham Museum of Art (BMA)
As of noon on Thursday, both the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Holi Festival are ON.
The organizers for the parade reminded Bham Now when we called them about the parade’s status — “it rains all the time in Ireland!!” They did tell us to make sure folks regularly check the Downtown BHM instagram page for updates and announcements.
The good folks at BMA said they were going to make a decision on Friday morning about the Holi Festival.
Bottomline – make sure to go directly to the event’s social media page to find out whether a weekend event has been cancelled or moved.
