It’s high time for some fine Southern style.
The Seersucker Spring Social is set to return to the Old State House Museum grounds on Thursday, April 24, marking its 11th anniversary.
The event has undergone a few rebranding efforts in recent years. Long known as the Seersucker Social, organizers changed the name in 2020 to Southern Spring Social and now the Seersucker Spring Social.
But despite the name change, the social will continue to drip with down-home style as it has in every year past. Guests can expect lawn games, hands-on activities, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live music, raffles and plenty of mint juleps. Just make sure to don your quintessential Southern best; there are even prizes for the best-dressed attendees.
Hosted by the Arkansas State House Society, the OSHM young professionals group, proceeds from the event benefit the School Bus Fund, a local initiative that enables area schools to visit the museum and learn about Arkansas history with no transportation costs.
The 11th annual Seersucker Spring Social will take place from 5:30-8 p.m. Tickets are available now. Click here or call 501.324.8647 to learn more, and follow the Arkansas State House Society on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
