Dedicated to maximizing the potential of infants and toddlers at risk for developmental delay, The Bell Center in Homewood is the only center-based transdisciplinary early intervention provider in Alabama. In its 40 years, The Bell Center has provided services to thousands of families across the state.

On Saturday, March 15, you can help this organization serve local families by participating in The Bell Center 5K and Children’s Run.

Know before you go: The Bell Center 5K + Children’s Run

  • What:
    • The Bell Center 5K: Scenic 3.1-mile route through the heart of Homewood
    • The Bell Center Children’s Run: 50-foot dash for children attending therapy at The Bell Center
  • When: Saturday, March 15, 2025
    • 5K begins at 8AM
    • Children’s run begins at 9AM

Register as a BellRunner:

  • Raise $100/mile in honor of a child attending therapy at The Bell Center.

Children who attend The Bell Center have a wide range of diagnoses including Down syndrome, autism and rare genetic disorders, to babies who are born prematurely or are sets of multiples. However, children are not required to have a diagnosis or qualifying delay to enroll.

Programs are designed to promote growth in the following skills:

  • Gross + fine motor
  • Language
  • Cognition
  • Self-help
  • Social  

With a special emphasis on maximizing potential, the therapy team is dedicated to providing holistic services to children, no matter the reason they are enrolled.
