Pickleball With Purpose Charity Tournament Hits the Courts This Weekend

The Hat Club and Junior League of Little Rock are teaming up for a new springtime event, and they’re taking it to the courts — the pickleball courts, that is.

The inaugural Pickleball With Purpose tournament will take place this Saturday, March 8, at The Little Rock Athletic Club, offering an afternoon of round-robin competition for all skill levels.

With both organizations known for their charitable work and community events, this tournament will follow suit and directly benefit JLLR initiatives like literacy programs in local schools, experiences at Camp Aldersgate and the Nightingales program that aids families at Home for Healing and ACH.

“We are thrilled to have a new community partner in The Hat Club for this event,” JLLR President Mary DeLoney Logan says. “They put on incredibly fun events to contribute to worthy organizations around the city of Little Rock. The funds raised from this tournament will go back into directly supporting the work Junior League of Little Rock does with Arkansas Children’s and Home for Healing, having a direct positive impact on those receiving medical treatment.

The event also includes fundraising raffles and concessions, and there are spectator tickets available as well. The serves start at noon.
