At 175 pounds, Crook County senior Gavin Sandoval did was he’s been doing for three years: won a state championship in dominant fashion.
The senior pinned Marshfield’s Aryan Wright in three minutes and 52 second for his third title at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Friday night.
“It feels amazing,” Sandoval said after the match. “I went out there and made my hard work pay off.”
