A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:04 a.m. valid from 9 p.m. until Wednesday 11 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service says, “Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
