2. Mary J. Blige: The For My Fans Tour

On February 15, nine-time Grammy-Award-winning singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige is bringing her raw, emotional hits to audiences in Birmingham. The “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” will be joined by 2000’s R&B icons Ne-Yo and Mario for an unforgettable evening of music and soul.

3. Lil Wayne – LIVE IN CONCERT

One of the most influential rappers of his generation, Lil Wayne is embarking on a limited, eight-show U.S. tour this year. Accompanied by rising star Anella Herim and Quavo—one half of the popular hip-hop duo Migos—Lil Wayne’s LIVE IN CONCERT tour is a can’t-miss show for any hip-hop head.

4. We Them Ones Comedy Tour

Hosted by the hilarious Mike Epps, the We Them Ones Comedy Tour brings you an unforgettable night with some of the biggest names in comedy, plus up-and-coming stars.

5. ASO presents Aretha: Song & Symphony — A Tribute to a Legend

On March 22, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will honor the “Queen of Soul” with Aretha: Song & Symphony — A Tribute to a Legend. The orchestra will be joined by a full band—featuring electric guitar, bass, drums and keys—and guest soloist Capathia Jenkins to help bring Aretha Franklin’s iconic hits to life.

6. The Millennium Tour

An epic throwback event, the Millennium Tour 2025 features some of the biggest R&B and hip-hop names from the early 2000’s—Trey Songz, Omarion, Bow Wow, Boosie, Plies, RSVP and the Ying Yang Twins.

As the name suggests, The Legends of Laughter comedy tour features six of the biggest stars of stand-up comedy, each bringing a unique style that’s sure to leave you laughing. 8. Kings of Southern Soul Blues Celebration

If you’re looking for a good Father’s Day gift for the father figure in your life, look no further than the Southern Soul Blues Celebration at the BJCC this June.

9. Ali Siddiq: In The Shadows Tour

Originally from Houston, Texas, Ali Siddiq uncovered his gift for comedy while serving time in prison. Now, he’s taking that talent on the road with his In The Shadows Tour, spreading laughter nationwide. Come see what’s made Ali’s fanbase so loyal during a night of nonstop comedy.

10. TINA: The Tina Turner Musical

Presented by Broadway in Birmingham, TINA: The Tina Turner Musical is a powerful and inspiring comeback story about the life of the “Queen of Rock n’ Roll” as she defies the odds and discovers her unique voice.
As one of the best-selling artists in music history, Tina Turner earned 12 Grammy Awards and holds the record for selling more concert tickets than any other solo performer. 1. K&J’s Elegant Pastries


A dessert shop specializing in custom desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth, K&J’s Elegant Pastries opened the doors to its Uptown location in 2022. Owner and Chef Kristal Bryant was born and raised in Birmingham and now gets to live out her dream of owning a store in her hometown.
2. Eugene’s Hot Chicken

In 2015, Nashvillian Zebbie Carney brought his take on Nashville Hot Chicken to Birmingham—and The Magic City hasn’t been the same since. After finding initial success with a food truck, Zebbie opened Eugene’s first brick-and-mortar location in Uptown, inspired by the fact that the BJCC was seeing over a million visitors every year.
3. Uptown Jazz

Founded in 2022, Uptown Jazz is a new jazz club formed by four Birmingham entrepreneurs—Rod Conwell, Patrick Chatman I, Patrick Chatman II and Larry Forest. An upscale lounge experience, Uptown Jazz is the perfect spot for a night of relaxation and live jazz music.
4. Nuke’s Barber and Style Shop + Loretta’s Alterations
Founded by Byron Watts, Nuke’s Barber and Style Shop is a traditional barbershop offering a classic haircut experience. Byron’s mother, Loretta Jordan, opened her own alterations shop next door.
