Interior designer Kristin Lane invited Instagram users in 2021 to watch her remake a historic Colonial Revival house in Portland’s Dunthorpe enclave into a welcoming English country home for her family.
Lane’s 15,000 followers have seen before and after photos of the fabled 1895 Cedarhurst mansion as well as portraits of her family of four enjoying time in their stylish, cream-colored living room. A video shows Lane pouring a celebratory flute of champagne in her new kitchen with black cabinets and playfully bouncing onto cushioned bench seating under arched windows.
